About the Founders
The company was founded by a husband and wife team with a commitment to being a
positive force for social and environmental responsibility. Jeremy Whisnant is dedicated
full-time to The White Pebble, while Nolana Whisnant continues to teach Rhetoric and
Writing at San Diego State University in addition to making all product decisions for the
business. Prior to founding The White Pebble, Jeremy's career spanned several
industries, including mergers and acquisitions, computer hardware, computer software
and real estate investment. Most notably, Jeremy spent five years at Gateway, where he
and a small team built the computer-maker's third party retail business to over $200
million of annual revenue by establishing and managing relationships with some of the
largest and most efficient retailers in the world. He parted with the corporate world to
team up with his wife and build a company that focuses on the couple's passion for
ethics, health, and the environment.
